Dear Sir,
22nd, August, 1918
199
Yourself v. The China Mail Ltd.
and Hong Kong Daily Press and re Mr.Bowly.
we are obliged by your letter.
we regret we did not enclose you a copy of Mr. Bowley's
letter; it was headed in the two actions which had been
commenced aid merely inquired if these two actions would be
with drawn on publication of his letter.
If Mr.Bowley publishes his letter independently of
the two newspapers, we think it might well De accepted as
regards him alone. As no proceedings have yet been commenced
against him, the question of his share of the costs does not
arise,
Yours faithfully,
8d/-Deacon Looker Deacon & Harston,
E.W.Hamilton Esq.,
